Less vaccinated states are feeling the force of Delta’s surge in the U.S.
The highly contagious variant now makes up a majority of the country’s new cases, and hospitalization rates are up in states where vaccination rates are relatively low. Still, Covid-related deaths are expected to stay well below previous levels.
